Dat is het uitgangspunt van Masterflix. Een geluidsstudio in het zuiden van Nederland. Sinds 1996 zijn hier onder de bezielende leiding van Felix van der Linden - DJ Felix - honderden compilatie-cd's samengesteld, gemixt en gemasterd. Dance, R & B, HipHop, Hardhouse: het studiowerk kent geen grenzen. Kijk verder op deze site en laat u verrassen!</p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">B I O G R A F I E</font></b> <p>Jong geleerd, oud gedaan. Deze vlieger gaat zeker op voor Felix van der Linden. Als peuter draaide hij al platen op de pick-up van vader en op school luisterde hij menig feest op met zijn muziek. Een prima voorbereiding op het 'echte werk', zo bleek. Want vanaf 1983 kreeg Felix een vaste stek als DJ in The Kings (Den Bosch), Rockefeller (Schaijk) en Lunenburg (Loosbroek). Ook had hij vele gastoptredens in diverse andere clubs door heel Nederland en in België, Duitsland en Frankrijk. Waar Felix ook kwam, met zijn draaikunsten wist hij de dansvloer moeiteloos gevuld te krijgen.<br> <br> Het netwerk werd groter evenals de wens om een eigen studio te beginnen. In 1996 werd Masterflix geboren. Direct al kreeg Felix opdrachten om aerobics-cd's te produceren. Zo kwam hij in aanraking met verschillende opdrachtgevers in zowel binnen- als buitenland. Enkele voorbeelden: Xenox in Nederland, Power in de Verenigde Staten en Multi-Trax in België. In datzelfde jaar kreeg Felix het aanbod om in Time Out te komen draaien: één van de grootste discotheken van Nederland. Door zijn drukke werkzaamheden blijft er weinig tijd over om zelf serieus muziek te produceren. Desondanks lanceerde Felix in 2004 een eigen plaat: Pussyshaver.<br> </p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">S T U D I O</font></b> <p>De Masterflix-studio herbergt professionele apparatuur van vooraanstaande merken. Werd aanvankelijk gebruik gemaakt van losse systemen als computers, synthesizers, effectapparatuur en een "total recal" mengtafel, nu vormt de studio een geïntegreerd geheel, opgebouwd rond een aantal professionele computersystemen. Het merendeel van de vroegere randapparatuur heeft nu plaatsgemaakt voor software, waardoor kwaliteit, flexibiliteit en mogelijkheden enorm zijn toegenomen. De beste compilatie-cd's kunnen nu worden gemixt en gemasterd. En dat is inmiddels dan ook gebeurd, regelmatig in nauwe samenwerking met bekende DJ's. <br> <br> Helemaal afscheid van zijn 'oude' apparatuur heeft Masterflix nog niet genomen. Zo heeft de studio een DAT-recorder en twee bandrecorders, waardoor oude banden probleemloos kunnen worden gedigitaliseerd. Maar ook het bewerken en remasteren van 78-toerenplaten behoort tot de mogelijkheden. Tot slot mag ook de gigantische cd- en platencollectie niet vergeten worden: de Masterflix-database omvat enkele tienduizenden titels.<br> </p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">P R O D U C T I E S</font></b> <p>Platenmaatschappijen, discotheken, boekingsbureaus, productiemaatschappijen: allemaal weten ze de weg naar Masterflix feilloos te vinden. Masterflix is een begrip geworden in binnen- en buitenland. Op deze site treft u een aantal voorbeelden aan van cd's die Masterflix heeft gemixt en/of gemasterd, al dan niet in samenwerking met andere DJ's. <p><a href="discografie/index.html">Klik hier voor een overzicht.<br> </a></p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">D J  F E L I X</font></b> <p>Het bloed kruipt waar het niet gaan kan. Daarom is Felix van der Linden nog steeds actief als DJ. Zo draait hij elk weekend in uitgaanscentrum Time Out in Gemert. Maar ook op verschillende evenementen is hij van de partij: </p> <ul> <li>Fast Forward Parade Rotterdam in 2001 <li>Bitte Ein Beatparties, waaronder diverse feesten in Spanje (Lloret de Mar en Caella) in 2003 en 2004 <li>Loveparade (vanaf de Ameland-truck) in Berlijn in 2000, 2001, 2002 en 2003 <li>Rio-parade in Brazilië in 2003</li> </ul> <p>In januari 2004 kwam de eerste plaat van Felix uit op het <a href="http://www.f-activemusic.com/" target="_blank">F-Active</a> label. Samen met een bevriende DJ kwam 'Pussyshaver' tot stand. Een hardhouse-track die aanvankelijk als grap begon, en uitgroeide tot een bescheiden clubhit. Inmiddels wordt hard gewerkt aan een opvolger voor Pussyshaver. That is the basic principle of Masterflix, a sound studio in the south of The Netherlands. Since 1996 hundreds of CD’s have been compiled, mixed and mastered under the inspiring leadership of Felix van der Linden, better known as DJ Felix. Dance, R & B, Hip-Hop, Hard house: the studio work knows no bounds. Have a look at this site and prepare to be surprised!</p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">B I O G R A P H Y</font></b> <p>What we learn at an early age will stay with us forever. This certainly holds true for Felix van der Linden. As a toddler he played records on his father’s turntable and Felix added lustre to many school parties with his music. It turned out to be an excellent preparation for the 'real work', because in 1983 Felix found a permanent niche as DJ in The Kings (Den Bosch), Rockefeller (Schaijk) and Lunenburg (Loosbroek). He also did numerous guest performances in various other clubs all around the Netherlands and Belgium, Germany and France. Wherever Felix turned up, with his record playing skills he could fill the dance floor in no time. <br> <br> The network extended and the desire to start his very own studio grew. In 1996 Masterflix was born. Immediately Felix was offered jobs to produce aerobics CD's. It brought him into contact with various types of music and clients from home and abroad. A few examples: Xenox in the Netherlands, Power in the United States and Multi-Trax in Belgium. That same year Felix was offered the chance to play in Time Out: one of the largest discotheques in the Netherlands. <br> With his busy schedule Felix has hardly any real time to produce his own music. Nevertheless, in 2004, with two of his friends, he still managed to launch their own record: Pussyshaver.<br> </p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">S T U D I O</font></b> <p>The Masterflix studio houses professional equipment of many leading brands. Initially separate systems were used such as computers, synthesizers, equipment to create effects and a "total recall" mixer. These days the studio forms an integrated unit, set up around a number of professional computer systems. Most of the peripheral equipment has made way for software, which has resulted in a big increase in quality, flexibility and possibilities. Now the best compilation CD’s can be mixed and mastered. This has already taken place, sometimes in close collaboration with a top DJ. <br> <br> Masterflix has not yet completely parted with his ‘old’ equipment. The studio still houses a DAT recorder and two analogue tape recorders, which means that your old tapes can be digitalised without any problem. You have also come to the right place for the adaptation and re-mastering of 78-rpm records. And finally you should not forget the gigantic CD and record collection: the Masterflix database contains some tens of thousands of titles.</p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">P R O D U C T I O N S</font></b> <p>Record companies, discotheques, booking agencies, production companies: unerringly they can find their way to Masterflix, who has become a household name in his own country as well as other countries. On this site you will find a few examples of CD’s, which were mixed and/or mastered by Masterflix, some in close cooperation with other DJ’s. <p><a href="discografie/index.html">Click here for an overview</a></p> <hr> <b><font color="#008080" size="5">D J  F E L I X</font></b> <p>Even though Felix van der Linden started his own studio, being a DJ is in his blood. That is why he is also still very active as a DJ. For example you can see him in action in party centre Time Out in Gemert.
